conclusions
When choosing full-size wireless headphones, you should listen to the advice of experts and remember the following nuances:
- the most important indicators are the range of reproduced frequencies and the sensitivity of the device ;
- The presence of a moisture protection system will make working with the device safer;
- for comfortable listening to music, the device must be supplemented with an active noise reduction system ;
- Pay attention to the type of wireless connection and additional functionality ;
- also need to find out information about the duration of battery life and the warranty period.
How to choose full-size wireless headphones?
In order not to make a mistake with your choice, when buying wireless headphones, first of all pay attention to:
- Connection . Choose a combined model that can work from both Bluetooth and cable.
- Autonomy . One of the main factors that determines how long the headphones will last without recharging. The minimum battery life (for budget models) should not be less than 12 hours. Expensive brands have a battery life of about 20-40 hours.
- Microphone . Its presence will allow you to receive incoming calls, make calls yourself and use a voice assistant.
- Noise suppression . The function will be useful for those users who regularly use headphones in conditions of constant noise - the street, public transport, office.
- Audio options . For the sound to be clear, spacious and loud, you need a range from 20 to 20 thousand Hz, and a sensitivity of at least 95 dB.
- Convenience . It’s good if the headphones can be folded or there is a case for transporting them.
What to look for when choosing?
All modern full-size headphones provide high-quality sound reproduction, but in order to choose the most suitable ones, before purchasing a headset you should evaluate the main parameters:
- sound frequency - there are models supporting 20-22,000 Hz and 4-40,000 Hz;
- resistance - the higher the indicator, the more powerful the sound source;
- sensitivity - from 97 dB, the volume level depends on it;
- operating time - wireless models can work up to 40 hours;
- control type - buttons and sensor;
- charging time is 2-3 hours, 10-15 minutes is enough to operate the device for 1 hour;
- noise reduction - implemented in all modern models.
TOP 3 best inexpensive full-size wireless headphones
Pioneer SE-MS7BT
Closed full-size headphones with a combined connection via cable or Bluetooth version 3.0 .

#7 – Soul Electronics Ultra Wireless
Price: 3,300 rubles
Soul Electronics Ultra Wireless are headphones that are easy to transport and store due to their folding design and included case. Among other advantages, it is worth highlighting autonomy - up to 36 hours on a single charge, a modest design that will be appreciated by lovers of minimalism, and soft ear pads that do not put pressure on the ears. There’s also no fault with the sound quality for how much the headphones cost – the lows are voluminous and detail is not lacking.
The connection via Bluetooth 5.0 is stable even in crowded places and is established quickly. Users in reviews cite the mediocre build quality and noticeable irregularities at the joints as the most significant flaw. Soul Electronics Ultra Wireless
Which company should you choose?
The most popular headphone manufacturers are:

- JBL . Wide range from an American company. Ideal in sound and design for the younger generation.
- Pioneer . A Japanese company that produces various audio equipment with high quality sound and assembly.
- Sennheiser . A German brand that produces products at an affordable price and with good quality of both build and sound.
- Beats . Popular on the American market with a unique model design and balanced sound.
No. 10 – Defender FreeMotion B570
Price: 940 rubles
A good model from a well-known manufacturer has a number of advantages over other budget products. The first thing I would like to note is the sound quality. Of course, you shouldn’t expect a delicately developed frequency range with rich bass, but when listening to music, the sound is clear and loud. The headphones look very nice, clearly more expensive than their price.
There are convenient buttons on the right earcup with which you can answer a call or change the song in the player without taking your phone out of your bag. The headphones can play music from a flash drive, for which there is a separate slot. The main disadvantage is the flimsy design made of Chinese plastic, so you should treat the device with care. Defender FreeMotion B570
No. 3 – Sony MDR-XB950N1
Price: 8,990 rubles
Sony MDR-XB950N1 is a great option for those looking for a noise-isolating device. Here it is so advanced that it can compete with the noise of the subway. The model will also be appreciated by fans of compositions in which low frequencies predominate. Proprietary EXTRA BASS technology improves their sound, enhancing rhythm and dynamics. It is activated by pressing a special button. If you want to fine-tune your sound, download the Headphones Connect app. Headphones are also quite suitable for gaming.
In terms of ergonomic characteristics, few people make any complaints - the soft ear pads do not squeeze the ears, the headband smoothly fits the head. The main drawback is the long charging time – as much as 5 hours. However, if the headphones are discharged, you can connect them wired and continue using them. Sony MDR-XB950N1
No. 4 – JBL Everest 710GA
Price: 9,900 rubles
The model has an attractive appearance due to matte plastic that does not collect fingerprints. The design is foldable, plus the owner receives a convenient case along with the headphones, so there will be no problems with transportation. When creating the headphones, the company relied on a voice assistant and was right – with its help it is convenient to switch songs, answer calls and perform other functions. As an alternative, there are physical buttons that have good travel and are easy to press even with gloves.
The battery life is also unlikely to disappoint - 25 hours, especially considering that it is fully charged in 120 minutes. The disadvantages include the lack of sound insulation, which obviously would not be superfluous in a not-so-cheap representative of the model range of a popular brand. Everest 710GA
Let's sum it up
In our opinion, we should conclude that the “range of models in price” is determined not only by the quality of the battery and the cost of the materials used, but also directly by the internal not the electronic component of the device: its ability to qualitatively receive and reveal sound, as well as eliminate interference.
Having carefully examined each of them, we can notice what qualities the manufacturer advertises, and what, in fact, users like.
Therefore, sometimes the manufacturer increases the cost of the model due to many additional technologies and buttons, and lowers it due to a decrease in the quality of materials or components.
Based on this, when choosing a device, prioritize exactly those qualities of headphones that you need.
No. 6 – JBL E55BT
Price: 3,600 rubles
The sixth place in the rating of wireless full-size headphones in 2020 is not for nothing that it is one of the most popular models. Users are delighted with the ergonomics, due to which the device can be used without discomfort for a long time. The sound quality is also pleasing - the frequency balance is maintained, the stage is spacious and clear, the bass sounds soft and velvety. For the price this is a real find.
You can control the headphones not only using the buttons located on the right earcup, but also using the remote control on the cable, where there is only one button. The only downside that comes to mind is the microphone, which, due to the lack of a sane noise reduction system, can only be used indoors. JBL E55BT
Sennheiser M3 AEBT XL
Over-ear headphones Sennheiser M3 AEBT XL - very bassy
Sennheiser M3 AEBT XL headphones - the most bassy model from the TOP
. If you listen to headphones through a cable, you can also achieve good control and layering of low frequencies. The middle is sometimes lost, but with the high there is no such problem - there are enough of them, there is separation. In terms of fit and materials, this is definitely the TOP.

Sony WH-XB900N
Driving, energetic and rich sound overall. Juicy, powerful booming bass available. At the same time, it cannot be said that the high and medium ones are lost against its background - absolutely not! The overall sound picture is detailed with an emphasis on low frequencies. This is not a minus - this is a feature of the headphones. — Excellent and very comfortable fit. You can wear it for hours without taking it off. At the same time, they look quite compact on the head, as for full-size ones. - Excellent passive and active noise reduction. On the subway I listen comfortably at 60-70% volume. Before that, I used AKG earplugs (included with the Samsung S10e), but they had to be constantly adjusted for better noise insulation and bass and the volume turned up by 90%, which is why my ears quickly got tired. With a noise canceler, listening is a pleasure - for a long time and at a comfortable volume. The noise of the carriage is distantly audible - this is not 100% soundproofing, but more than sufficient. — Excellent quality of materials and workmanship. Nothing creaks anywhere, it’s pleasant to hold in your hands. The surface is rough - no fingerprints remain. Compact when folded. — LDAC support, Type-C available. — Functional application with a bunch of settings. — There was not a single connection disconnection, unlike TWS headphones. Neither with a smartphone, nor with Smart TV. The connection is stable regardless of whether you are walking or taking the subway. Elari Nano was constantly guilty of this, as were Samsung Buds according to reviews. — Many people complain that headphones with active noise canceling make terrible noise if the wind blows. To be honest, I didn’t notice such a problem at all. The noise of a strong wind is audible, but it is not absolutely critical and does not hurt the ears.

Sennheiser RS 175-U
Sound quality, when connected via optical cables from a TV, complete absence of background noise, appearance, ease of use, standard AAA batteries (can be replaced over time). High-quality, solid headphones, easy to start using, for me they are convenient in everything. Just the model marking is not clear. Purchased as RS 175-U, the box says RS 175 on one side and RS 175-U on the other. At the same time, the prices for these models are different. The router standing next to the base causes interference, the sound cuts out all the time. The location of the adjustment buttons is not very convenient

Sony WH-H910N
Great sound. Frequency balance, panorama - subjectively some of the best sounding for similar money. Something better is already much more expensive. Fast connection via NFC, really convenient (disconnect, by the way, too). The noise reduction is good, the level is adjustable. They catch far, a couple of concrete walls easily, the sound does not stutter. Its own application in which you can configure an additional button, noise reduction, equalizer. One of those extremely rare cases when there is no desire to tweak the equalizer. The instrumental is very readable, even streaming music started playing (in HQ, of course, but still). Subjectively suitable for almost all genres of music. The sub-bass is a little lacking, but for “boom-pump” music you can find something simpler for the price.

JBL Live 500BT
Pleasant ear pads, high-quality hinges, excellent sound insulation, operation via the included 3.5 adapter does not consume the battery. I have been using the headphones for more than six months, only at home. I mainly use them via a wired connection with dualshock4. I don’t use all the included features, I’m not interested) I’m still pleased with the sound quality and overall comfort. There is something to say to those who are afraid to overpay and take who knows what sherpatreb: the earmuffs are really worthwhile, look nice, fit over my huge ears, and fit well on my big head, at the same time I wouldn’t call them bulky. Every day they lie in their place, next to the TV and wait in the wings. Reliability: 10 / 10 PS There is also a point that the wire included in the kit, on the side of the headphone input, the wire has a smaller jack than 3.5 and I’m not sure that if something happens to the wire, I will be able to find a replacement for it. PS2 They haven’t even scratched me in half a year, and I don’t store them on fabric)

SVEN AP-B900MV
I picked up these headphones by accident, because they were the only ones in stock in the store and in approximately the same price range as the ZET GAMING Renegade 2.4G headphones (they failed during the warranty period and the store suggested either replacing them with new ones or taking any other ones with recalculating the cost, I took SVEN AP-B900MV). I really liked the sound in these headphones. Before this I used Beats solo 2 wireless for a long time, but the Sven turned out to be more pleasant to my ears. The beats didn't have enough bass for me (I had to play with the equalizer), but these have good bass right out of the box. They fit well on the head, do not fall off or put pressure on them - they are comfortable. But after four hours I want to take them off. While winter doesn't make your ears sweat, let's see what happens in summer. I'm happy with the headphones like an elephant) I'll add my own review. After 4 months, one of the ear pads began to separate along the seam (see photo). It doesn’t affect the comfort of wearing or the sound quality, but it looks untidy because of it.

Sony WH-XB900N
Out of the box the sound in my ears took me back to 2012. to the nine with a subwoofer in half the trunk and a Lil Jon compilation on a flash drive. Well, we are serious guys now, what kind of nines? But for this feeling you will need to tinker: 1. First, I connected my ears via a wire to the Zishan Z3 tweaknotum with FLAC of different genres, without turning on the power, and adjusted the equalizer on the player (severely cut the 60-100Hz range, raised the middle and a little top). Wow, they can play music! But that’s not why I bought wireless headphones. The lace goes into the drawer along with Andrea Bocelli's bottles, eh-khe. 2. Then over the air I connected the phone and again returned to my ninety-one from the past. To adjust the equalizer, you need to switch to “Stable connection priority” in the Sony app, and this is an SBC codec instead of Aptx HD. I throttled the bass, raised the highs and... that's it (attached screenshot of settings). I got a pop sound that satisfies me for calling with colleagues and listening to Y.Music in HQ on the street. Advice to future buyers - if you only listen to the top YA Music - take the xb900n without second thoughts - dolbit normalno, as they used to glue on basins. If you think that it was your ears that God created from delicate Philadelphia cheese and only for the voice of Jose Carreras, pass by the Sony XB series.

Sony WH-XB900N
Touch control is a thing, and you can really appreciate it only by trying it. They sit comfortably on your head - you can use them for several hours without experiencing much discomfort. Operating time is 30 hours - quite comfortable. I’m not a music lover, so the choice of headphones was based on the versatility of their use: comfort on the head, long operating time, sound quality, work with Windows 10, the presence of a microphone headset (for conversations on Skype/Teams), ease of control, connection stability, affordable price. In the end, the choice fell on the Sony WH-XB900N, the price fell out of the desired criteria (expensive), but the name Sony clouded my mind and outweighed everything. We read rave reviews/reviews that promise music lovers Hi-Res quality sound with Sony’s codec – LDAC. Forget Sony's marketing stories about Bluetooth sound quality, any modern Bluetooth headphones produce sound worse than CD quality (and with any codec). As for the much-hyped LDAC codec by Sony, you have to be a very, very good music lover to notice the difference in sound (at maximum quality) from the aptX HD codec, and at the same time you lose all sound quality settings, i.e. listen to music according to the taste of the headphone manufacturer. If you were able to find music in the LDAC codec, then the connection to the audio source is performed in 330 kbps mode by default, which corresponds to the quality of the aptX codec. If you are very, very lucky and find a sound source with max. quality for LDAC (990 kbit/s), then the sound quality will still be lower than CD quality. At the same time, at max. quality (990 kbit/s) you lose the stability of the connection (which again will negatively affect the sound quality). And the difference in sound with different codecs can be explained simply - by different sound profile settings, and here the equalizer will help you. If you consider yourself a music lover and want to listen to music in HI-FI quality, then buy good, expensive headphones (and definitely not Bluetooth) and listen from a high-quality sound source (and not from a cheap smartphone). Because Bluetooth sound is much worse than wired sound in all respects. My opinion is that the Sony WH-XB900N wireless headphones have not met modern requirements in terms of functionality for a long time; I do not recommend buying them (and similar ones from Sony). The price tag is very high, the functionality is outdated, we are overpaying for the brand, not for quality. If all the disadvantages described above are not significant for you and money is not a problem for you, then otherwise this is a good choice for headphones. After quite a long time of use, I give them a price/quality rating of 2 points. At the same time, I won’t say that these are bad headphones, but they are definitely not worth the money.

SVEN AP-B900MV
— they cope well with the passive and active noise reduction functions. On the subway, you can relax and not try to squeeze your ears into a tube at the sounds of an approaching train. Listening to music is quite comfortable. Low-frequency noise, which creates the main discomfort, is suppressed. People's voices and similar spectrum pass through. I did not conduct special tests for all types of noise. I think that if you are flying on an airplane and there is a crying child nearby, then it will be the main source of discomfort that the headphones will not cope with (not counting the possibilities of passive sound insulation). — did not have the opportunity to compare with more expensive analogues in terms of sound quality. They probably play worse than the AKG that comes with the Samsung S10, or the wired ATH-M50x I have. But a direct comparison of these devices does not make sense, since it is difficult to listen to headphones without noise reduction in noisy conditions. Overall the sound is good. Strangely enough, they play better with the noise reduction turned on. I haven't tried connecting via wire. — connection with Samsung S10 works well. Never got lost. Not at home within the travel distance of a medium-sized apartment, not on the street, not in the subway. — noise reduction is turned on separately from turning on the headphones themselves. Those. the device can simply work as a noise canceler) Perhaps this may be useful to someone - as a headset they work quite normally. You can hear your interlocutor perfectly, and it doesn’t seem to be bad for me either. I haven’t tested the ease of managing calls from a headset. I have enough control from my phone. - The battery is enough. I haven’t tested the limits, but it looks like the stated operating hours are close to reality. I got the headphones for free. I even thought, why do I need them? Maybe I’ll sell them while they’re new, but after trying them out, I decided to keep them) A good device in its price range

JBL Live 500BT
Vadim P. The sound quality is good, but sometimes there are not enough low frequencies, you can always tweak the equalizer. I liked the Ambient Aware technology; you don’t have to take off your headphones to hear what’s happening around you. The operating time of 30 hours without recharging seems to be true, I charge it every 1.5 - 2 days. Additionally, I would like to note the soft headband, the ability to fold, and receiving firmware updates through the JBL Headphones application. I use it every day for several months, I think that for the price of 5,000 rubles. You can close your eyes to their shortcomings, except for Google Assistant. During use, the appearance has not changed in any way, nothing has come off or peeled off.

Sony WH-H910N
Cool headphones with VERY cool sound, clear and detailed. Now I can do things around the apartment and listen to music calmly flowing through 2 walls. Considering that the experience of using previous wireless, full-size, but cheap headphones was extremely sad. The sound came from a barrel. I'm talking about Chinese noname with Ali for 3 thousand and edifier w830bt. These headphones even matched the sound of my gaming Sennheiser gsp 301, in which I really liked the sound. The moment has come for me when I can get rid of wires without sacrificing quality. As for the microphone, I don’t use it, as headphones are for home use. But my friends on discord didn't like it. What I really liked was the bass, it’s enough even for the most fanatical bass lovers. It’s such that when there’s a lot of it in a track, the speakers move, I really like it. Especially in shooters, during explosions the speakers shake, adding to the immersion in the game. By the way, the headphones were successfully tested in KS, you can hear everyone around. Fortunately, all aspects of sound are regulated on the phone. What saddens me is that the full-size headphones are a stretch, because I was sitting in normal large headset headphones, and my ears are cramped in the Sony ones. And I’m still wondering whether to sell these headphones to me or not. I really don't want to part with them. Regarding purchasing on ebay. You can’t pay with a world card, so I had to create a virtual card, fortunately, this is a matter of minutes. It’s better to order goods on ebay through PayPal, because it’s easier to get your money back if something happens. Paypal is easy to register, nothing complicated. I bought a product in an open box, this is a new product, but was returned by the buyer for some reason, I didn’t like the color, etc. Such products are much cheaper than new ones in the store. In fact, they are new, without defects, just opened. When purchasing on ebay, I advise you to pay attention to such products, they are the most profitable. The headphones are controversial for me, everything is spoiled by the small ear pads, in the photos and reviews the headphones seem big, but they are not.

I bought it for a laptop, it connects via bluetooth. I use it for gaming and for Skype and Zoom calls. The microphone for negotiations is good, although it is not remote, you can hear me perfectly. The games have good positioning and due to the fact that the sound quality is really cool, it’s pleasant to play, especially when the game has powerful music. I rarely connect them to my phone, because I have smaller headphones, but I’ve used them too. The charge lasts for 15 hours, just enough to travel from one city to another by train or plane. Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC
I give silver to another famous German company - Beyerdynamic. Beyerdynamic headphones are in steady demand both in audiophile circles and among professionals working with sound. The appearance in 2022 of the wireless Lagoon model, offering interesting functionality, active noise cancellation and a signature musical signature, immediately changed the balance of players in the class.
Presentation and scope of delivery
The headphones are packaged in a large cardboard box that opens with a magnet. Inside we have a flat triangular case made of leatherette with a hard frame, and the charging wire and 3.5 cable are cleverly hidden in the niches.
Design and comfort
The model looks beautiful and neat, the main material is high-quality thick plastic, the headband is metal. The ear pads are filled with memory foam, they are modest, not particularly plump, but made of the most delicate matte leatherette, and there is also a very soft pad on the headband. The model is foldable, the bowls rotate in all directions, while they dangle a little, but not too much. Surprisingly, the Lagoon ANC fit was the most comfortable of any competitor in my review. You can easily walk and play sports while wearing headphones; they will not fall off your head and will not tire you out. Of course, this is individual, but personally I found it incredibly comfortable. Another interesting thing is that the passive noise insulation is simply fantastic. And I’ll add that inside the bowls there is a backlight to determine the charge level and other parameters, it’s funny.
Technologies and characteristics
- · Bluetooth codec support: SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Low Latency;
- · Battery life: 45 hours without ANC and 24.5 hours with ANC;
Features of the model: active noise reduction, CVC technology from Qualcomm to improve speech intelligibility during voice calls, MOSAYC sound personalization system, which allows you to adjust the emphasis of different frequencies to the individual needs of your hearing, touch control. The headphones connect to the source instantly, there are no malfunctions, and there is no delay during playback. By the way, this is the only model that plays music when turned on and off. Also here, an unexpectedly cheerful female voice calls out all your actions, battery level and the selected Bluetooth codec.
Sound
The presentation of these headphones can be noticeably changed using individual settings, but I can tell you about its main features. This is a warm, familiar Bayer signature sound. The musical picture is cozy, slightly darkened, but well readable, the handwriting is beautiful and universal. There is no pumping of emotions, light cheerfulness on some compositions gives way to restrained neutrality on others, it all depends on the initial mood of the recording. The emphasis on individual frequency spectra is not pronounced; long listening does not tire at all. There are no genre preferences either; personally, what I liked most with Lagoon ANC was delicious, leisurely rock. If we talk about frequencies, the bass is deep, velvety, bodily, but there is no forced impact and aggression. The mids are smooth, well defined, with excellent plane separation and wonderful vocal processing. There is no synthetic effect, the tones are warm, but without any deliberate brightness. The upper frequencies are smoothed, soft, as if honeyed; this is more of a music lover's character, but I have no complaints about their quantity. As a result, the sound is pleasant and very adult.
