If we look at the Marshall line of Major headphones, we can see that each subsequent model is not just a repetition of the previous one with improvements, but a product with its own twist. This can be seen using the example of the Marshall Major III bluetooth headset.
Description
The cardboard packaging box in which the Marshall Major III Bluetooth headset is supplied is distinguished by the quality of the material and printing.
On the front side, against the background of the headband and left cup, is the model name, the Bluetooth logo, as well as the wireless operating time - 30 hours.
On the back side, the designers placed a detailed image of the headphones located in women’s palms, as well as explanatory diagrams:
- location of the joystick button and other components on the left and right bowls;
- control multimedia functions with a joystick button;
- cable assignments.
At the very bottom, the buyer will see the hidden amplitude-frequency characteristics of the dynamic emitters installed in the model.
The upper part of the headband is covered with vinyl artificial leather, and the inner part is covered with soft eco-leather stretched over porous foam. Vinyl artificial leather is also used for inserts on the outside of the bowl housings and upholstery around the perimeter of the ear pads.
The plane of the ear pads adjacent to the ear is made of soft leatherette. White lettering logos are recessed into vinyl inserts.
Of all the “shiny” spare parts, the only ones left are the brass hinge axles and the joystick button engine. Even the Marshall lettering on the inside of the headband, as well as the Left and Right indicators, are embossed. The mechanisms for adjusting the headphones to the shape of the head and folding them inward remain unchanged.
Sound
If the Marshall Major II Bluetooth was more suitable for listening to rock (rise at lows, flat mids, slight decline at highs), then the installation of new dynamic drivers with an impedance of 32 Ohms changed the frequency response of the third model.
Although the lower frequencies are emphasized, they do not stick out. Even at high volume levels, the Marshall Major III's bass remains clear. The splash in the midbass is pleasing, which gives the music “punch” and confidence.
Mid frequencies are relatively smooth (a slight drop in the frequency response does not affect this). However, instruments in this range are difficult to distinguish, and the depth of the stage is barely perceptible.
The listener will clearly perceive all the classic compositions of Major III as support from the orchestra from the “pit”.
Normal high frequencies appeared. The music became light and organic. There is a peak at 3.5 kHz, which in some works can cause unpleasant sensations for listeners, but this is easily corrected in the equalizer.
The sound quality in the Marshall Major III BT has moved to a new level, the sound has become more natural, and most importantly, “recognizable”.
