Ultimate soundstage is a legal clone of the Canadian Paradigm acoustics. I don’t know how they managed it, but this particular model of 3.1 acoustics from the soundstage cinema line sounds excellent, surprisingly very beautiful and of high quality. There is something to compare with, because... In addition to the 3.1 model (two pairs), there are soundstage center acoustics, 1.1, 2.1, 4.1, and 5.1, which are significantly inferior in sound to the 3.1 model. The 3.1 model is universal and reproduces well almost all genres, incl. jazz, classical and almost all modern styles. In general, for the 4300 rubles for which I bought them, these are simply unique acoustics. Currently working in the stereo system: Onkyo DX-1800, Luxman L-215, Monster Interlink Reference 2 cables, Ixos XHS353W and Ixos XHS213 (bi-wiring). P.S. When comparing these acoustics with the legendary Canadian bipolar speakers Mirage M590i in the same path with CD Arcam 73, the latter (Mirages) completely lost in emotionality and presentation of musical material (jazz), as well as in all frequency ranges (mainly in the mids and especially in the lows ). This acoustics leaves a feeling of solidity; each speaker is heavier than most of its “colleagues”. The magnet is covered with a hard plastic case; its approximate dimensions are 110 x 15 mm, and this is quite serious. The diameter of the voice coil has been increased to 32 mm, so we can bring the increased power reserve to the benefit of this participant as well. The diffuser material was polypropylene with fine metal filler. The basket is very loud even by the standards of today's classmates. The foam sound-absorbing ring, although not wide, is high. The wires to the system components are also routed according to the first method. The tweeter has a polyimide dome membrane with a diameter of 25 mm. A thick disk without an aperture is installed in front of its central part. The super tweeter is also dome (20 mm), but piezoceramic.

Sibilants in male voices are harsh, chest notes are sometimes separated from the main content. Female vocals are clear and detailed, but lack smoothness and softness. The violins are also detailed, but not very restrained; their pressure sometimes seems excessive. The relief of the bass guitar is somewhat dull, the attack of the string is emphasized and, as it were, slightly delayed. Even in the double bass part there is some excess pressure felt. The top is very clear and even musical, but a little exaggerated - if there was an attenuator, it would be worth lowering it a couple of decibels. The piano lacks cohesion; some notes of the upper octaves are highlighted, and against their background the overtones and lows recede.

The force factor is 4.6 T m, close to the group average (the average value today is 4.72 T m). The moving system is quite heavy (18.8 g), but the overall sensitivity is no lower than average, not least thanks to the efforts of the dome tweeter. I can’t say anything bad about nonlinear distortions - they are slightly below average throughout the entire range. On the frequency response graph, only a peak can be noted in the region of the midbass transition to the modal mode (2.5 kHz). The midbass diffuser behaves quite calmly throughout the entire operating range; above 4 kHz, the midbass emission slowly drops, and almost immediately the tweeter comes into play. It was not possible to detect traces of the presence of a super tweeter in the graphs, but this may be for the best: the system retains an extremely wide and even dispersion up to a frequency of 16 kHz. The phase equalizing body is set to 13.5 kHz.

When installed in the rear shelf, the midbass will give (in the cabin) a subwoofer frequency response with a gain of 2 - 3 dB at frequencies below 80 Hz. Cutoff frequency 8 Hz. In the volume of the door, the total quality factor will come close to 1.1. The lower frequency limit is 54/13 Hz (below 30 Hz the frequency response goes horizontally at a level of -2.5 dB). True, there is an inevitable hump in the frequency response with a maximum of +3 dB at 80 Hz.
