There is no show-off regarding noise reduction modes - either on or off. There is no mode for amplifying external sounds. But it was still not convenient for me to use this mode, because the interlocutor usually does not know about this system; this is, as a rule, some kind of salesperson in the store. At the same time, taking off the headphones takes the same amount of time as turning on the amplification of external sounds with the aforementioned Sonys, but when you take off the headphones, the interlocutor clearly sees that you are ready to listen to him. Standing next to the highway, immediately after purchase, the noise reduction (active + passive) is approximately the same as that of COWIN E7, but the passive suppression is better (they are larger in size), and these ones look more compact on the head. Active noise cancellation is a little better here. The old model had a disgusting feature of clapping when jumping (running), that is, the noise canceler perceived the jump as a sound wave and tried to dampen it, these same headphones do not react to jumping in any way. But in a minibus with a rigid suspension, the noise suppressor “pops” on every bump, even in a new model. The sound of the male voice is slightly muffled, the female and children's voices remain unchanged. It turned out to be quite pleasant to use them in a noisy production area next to rattling machines. With the music turned off and the noise reduction turned on, voice intelligibility was about the same as without headphones (also sometimes I had to ask again and stand close), but due to the fact that my ears were not going crazy from the roar of the machines, I did not take off my headphones. By the way, such low-frequency rumble is exactly what an active noise canceler suppresses best. Once before, when I was working next to a rumbling machine, I was offered earplugs (headphones without speakers); when I put them on, I felt as if I had a saucepan on my head, they muffled the mid frequencies and seemed to even enhance the low frequencies. I took off the earplugs after 2 minutes. This does not happen with these headphones; active noise canceling dampens these low frequencies. The sound of ventilation in the hypermarket is completely drowned out. (although this sound is not annoying; you quickly get used to it). They performed well on the train, almost completely drowning out sounds. If you believe the memories, the noise reduction here works as effectively as SONY's. By turning on the noise reduction in different places, I feel that it is working and some of the sounds have disappeared; with the previous model (E7), in some cases (train) I turn on the noise reduction and understand that almost nothing has changed. Interestingly, noise reduction can be turned on even without turning on Bluetooth because... The switch is separate, which can be useful on an airplane, I think they will work well there too.

They squeak and crunch with any movement, even when you just move your head. Sometimes you pay attention to it, then you forget, then you notice it again. For me, 2-3 hours is the limit of comfortable wearing, due to the proximity of the internal elements of the headphones to the ears.
