Just before the end of 2022, our biggie friends sent me the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro headphones to test. I asked to find them for review, it was interesting to find out what and how the sound was. Almost two years ago I tested the first generation model and it didn't make much of an impression on me.
Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro review: much ado about nothing

Then the sound seemed to me not interesting enough, and the work of the noise reduction system left much to be desired. So I re-read my old text and went to study the new Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro in the hope that my skepticism would be destroyed.

Package
The headphones arrived in a very large box of excellent quality. I thought maybe this was some kind of special modification of headphones with an extended set - but no, they just didn’t spare the cardboard. Although some may say that now it is not fashionable and the trends are careful concern for the environment and minimalism everywhere, including packaging materials. At least the box could have been made three times smaller, because in size it is not inferior to the packaging of a smartphone.
The package includes the following: USB Type-C cable for charging, interchangeable tips of different sizes. Moreover, we get not only the usual silicone ones, but also foam ones! I especially advise you to try foam ones, with them the sound insulation is better and the sound changes for the better.
Case
The case is made of matte black plastic, the surface is slightly rough. I liked the material: no traces or fingerprints remain on the case when used, and no scratches appeared when used carefully and worn separately from the keys. The case is not the smallest, but not very large either, medium in size.
The lid opens with little effort and slams shut with a loud click. The mechanism does not play, the assembly is tight and neat.
The headphones fit very tightly in the case and are removed with noticeable effort. In my opinion, taking them out of the case is not very convenient. I've tested the headphones on a number of people and opinions vary - perhaps it's just a matter of habit and personal preference.
Review
After several days of use and listening to different types of tracks, I came to the conclusion that the Haylou Moripods are overall good wireless headphones for the price. Initially, I had high expectations for them after I was impressed by the previous model of this brand. However, it is obvious that competitors are also not asleep and have since stepped up a lot. Today, the consumer has a real choice between several good models in the same price range. And which headset to choose depends only on external or any other preferences.
Size and comfort
The headphones come only in black, no silver-white modifications are provided. It was difficult for me to look for some key points in the design: Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro does not have any striking features and they do not particularly stand out among others. The headphones are lightweight, the body is made of matte plastic and is complemented by small glossy inserts where touch pads for controlling music are located.
You cannot adjust the music volume by touching the headphone body; you can only switch tracks back and forth and pause, turn noise reduction on and off, and also launch the voice assistant. But essentially the last function is stupid, since to use the Xiaomi voice assistant you need to know Chinese, and you won’t be able to reassign it to the Google assistant.
The headphones fit quite tightly, but I’m not sure that they are suitable for jogging - during testing there were concerns that they would fall out if I actively shook my head.
Standard silicone tips worked for me. Then, while studying the package, I discovered very good foam ones, everything was fine with them too, they fit medium in size.
I think that the comfort of headphones will greatly depend on the duration of their use. At first glance, everything is great, but if you use the headphones for more than three hours, discomfort appears in the lower part of the ear. Perhaps this is the fault of the long “legs” or the relatively plump body, because there are no complaints about the weight of the headphones themselves - each earphone is only 7 grams.
Thanks to the fact that there is a proximity sensor, you can take out the headphones, knowing that playback will automatically pause.
The best wired in-ear headphones from Xiaomi
Probably the most popular headphones for mobile devices. They have passive sound insulation and provide very good sound quality. And most importantly, they are quite compact and mobile.

This model contains elements of reinforcement and dynamic design. The dual dynamic driver retains low and mid tones and is made of graphene material, which produces sounds with fuller and richer details. The balanced armature driver preserves the rich detail of the main melody's high notes, so you can experience the effect of a three-band equalizer.
The larger dynamic driver is responsible for the lower audio ranges, and the smaller dynamic driver is responsible for the higher audio ranges. When dual dynamic drivers are combined with an armature driver, the sounds produced sound significantly richer and fuller. The headphones have a rounded and 45° inclined body. To reduce the risk of ear skin irritation, medical grade silicone is used.

Sound quality
I didn’t have much hope regarding the audio, but the headphones quickly destroyed my skepticism. I listened to music from my Apple iMac, iPhone 11 Pro and Pocophone M3. I liked that the sound is clear, the volume reserve is very large, and the settings of the headphones are such that the lows do not clog everything else.
Again, personal musical preferences also greatly influence the “like-dislike” rating. If you are a fan of electronic music with an emphasis on rhythm and want an emphasis on low frequencies so that it touches your soul, I would look towards other headphones. But on the Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro, classical or Lo-Fi sounds pleasant; for background and a pleasant mood, I recommend an old Fab Samperi album.
I didn’t touch the equalizer settings and listened to the music “as is.” For my taste, the headphones are not quite perfect in the high frequencies, but the mids and bass are fine. There is volume, there is clear sound, and finally, noise reduction comes to the rescue.
Noise suppression
The noise reduction works well, except that the comments in Chinese are a little annoying when you switch between operating modes. As usual, there are several modes: noise reduction is off, noise reduction is on, transparent mode is when you hear what is going on around you and talk to other people without taking out your headphones.
Vacuum headphones, when using the included foam tips, isolate well from noise, and if you turn on the noise reduction, you can withdraw into yourself and concentrate on work. In conditions of self-isolation, when many have to work from home, this is a good help.
On the street, Xiaomi Mi Air 2 Pro also tries to get rid of the surrounding noise, but they do not drown out the sound of wheels in the subway.

Xiaomi Mi Collar Bluetooth Headset Youth
Xiaomi Mi Collar Bluetooth Headset is not a flashy sports headset . The model is presented in soothing colors; there is no mention of moisture protection in the specifications. Yes, headphones are suitable for a light jog or quiet workouts in the gym, but for serious workouts it’s better to look for something else. Xiaomi Mi Collar Bluetooth Headset has been on sale relatively recently, and there is still little information. At least beyond the laudatory advertising reviews.
