Budget Split Wireless Headphones QCY QS1 (T1C)

Today in our review I want to share an alternative version of wireless headphones called QCY T1C, which are very similar to Xiaomi Airdots.

QCY recently introduced its latest fully wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.0 version, so in this article we will look at all the advantages, disadvantages and determine the sound quality, whether they are better than wireless headphones from Xiaomi.

From China you can order QCY T1C for around $30, so we will rate them as low end of the segment.

QCY T1C: Design and Appearance

The first thing I noticed about the QCY T1C's design was the size of the earbuds and the charging case.

The wireless headphones and charging case have a very light weight of only 31 g. The dimensions of the case itself are very compact. Therefore, we had no problems wearing it, even in narrow jeans pockets.

The charging case is made entirely of matte black plastic. As you can see, QCY is moving away from “premium” materials. Also, the case itself does not have a cover for wireless headphones, so it’s difficult to say whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage. For me, I would like the wireless headphones to be completely enclosed in a case and not get dirty with dust.

Despite the simple plastic body, the charging case is quite durable and well made.

Like other wireless earbuds, the QCY T1C is held magnetically in its case. Even if you turn it over, the headphones won't fall out, great! Magnets also help to insert the headphones into the correct position.

The charging case contains a small LED indicator of the battery charge level.

With the protective and charging case, you can charge the QCY T1C up to 4 times without needing to be plugged in. If the case itself is low, then it can be charged via the microUSB port on the rear panel.

The headphones themselves should hold a charge for 4 hours, according to QCY, but in my test we were able to drain it in 3 hours. Yes, it’s possible to achieve 4 hours, but at low volume.

So you can listen to music or audiobooks for up to 20 hours before you need a charger.

As with the charging case, the wireless earbuds are also made of matte black plastic and are extremely compact.

The QCY T1C headphones are controlled using a small touchpad on the back. With it you can stop or switch the track.

If you put the headphones in the case, they automatically turn off, and when you take them out, they automatically turn on. This works great in everyday life.

In general, the design and appearance of the QCY T1C wireless headphones is well done, and as you may have noticed, they are very similar to the design of the Xiaomi Airdots.

QCY T1C: Convenience

For wireless headphones, the QCY T1C is relatively small and compact. Of course, the small size fits perfectly for comfortable wearing.

QCY T1C is very light and unobtrusive in the ears. I have never had a foreign body sensation in my ears.

In addition, they stayed well in the ears. Even while running there were no problems with the headphones falling out.

wireless headphones QCY qs1 (T1C) TWS 5.0 Bluetooth

Photo review for so boasting. During the entire period of its existence on mysku, I noticed that 80% of the reviews relate to point 18. My subjective opinion about this is extremely negative. So my first purchase of 2022. Wireless headphones QCY qs1, also known as T1C. My name is Yaroslav and I am a drug addict trying to lead a healthy lifestyle, or rather I run, but not on Friday. On Friday, a bathhouse and 1.5 liters of beer. I was running with music from wired headphones and I was terribly annoyed by the wires, which either got tangled or got in the way in some other way. And I decided to give myself a gift and bought QCY qs1 wireless headphones.

I searched the entire internet before purchasing. I didn't find any reviews. There are no differences from T1S either. On the expanses of this portal there are only 3 posts about discounts and sales with descriptions of characteristics. I won't describe them. I'll be brief. I'll show you what's in the box and how it fits in your ears. set? simple )))

A pair of ears, a charging box, a micro-USB charging cord and 2 additional pairs of elastic bands. The total length of the cord is 18 cm. Additional elastic bands in a bag in sizes “small” and “large”, “medium” are already inserted into the headphones and fit my ears perfectly. The instructions say that this type of rubber band is suitable for most buyers.

general form?

There is nothing to describe here. The dimensions of the case are 80x25x20mm. I did not measure the dimensions of the earphone.

indication when charging the box?

Lights up green until fully charged and goes off.

indication when charging ears?
Lights up red for the first minute or so and then goes off.

When discharged, both the box and the headphones themselves produce a characteristic sound.

how do they fit in the ears?

There are no inconveniences. When running and shaking, the heads do not fall out

Size comparison with power bank from Xiaomi 10000mah

And yes, why is it T1S and not any other model

, although sellers on Ali shout the opposite at the top of their lungs

what about water protection?

I don’t know, I didn’t swim or run in the rain.
Of course, the head sweats during sports activities, but it does not affect the performance of the headphones in any way. on the phone
there is an indication of the headphone charge (mimax phone with mirum firmware). Pairs quickly.

You can use one earphone if you turn the steering wheel of your car.

result

It’s convenient to listen to music in them; after 2 hours of active use, they lasted almost half. Because these are vacuum headphones, then you won’t hear the world around you, no one will hear you either (by the way, this also applies to conversations on the phone, the microphone is far away and the interlocutor can hear you with difficulty, and you have to raise your voice. But only on the street, at home everything is fine )

Thank you for your attention from Tomato

QCY T1C: Sound Quality

The most exciting thing, of course, is the sound. I think it would not be a lie to admit that the QCY T1C shocked me!

I expected good sound from compact wireless headphones due to the QCY name, but the sound quality is actually very good.

The most important and most surprising factor is undoubtedly the bass. QCY T1C have very powerful and incredibly spacious bass. The bass is not only very powerful, but also of very high quality.

I was also a little surprised at how much sound pressure these little wireless headphones put out. If you love loud sound as well as good bass, then you won't want to trade your T1C for anything else.

But the QCY T1C aren't just dumb bass bombers, they're quality tuned bass. Also, the sound does not seem empty, it is quite full and warm.

In the upper and mid range, the QCY's sound quality is still impeccable.

The QCY T1C's highs are still very crisp and clean, especially at the top. Low levels may be a little weaker depending on the song and how the bass is added.

So I would classify the heights as very neat! However, the bass clearly dominates. Here it comes down to your taste whether this is right for you or whether more neutral headphones will be better for you.

The QCY T1C are clearly aiming for lively and highly dynamic sound, and they do it very well!

Among other things, the T1C's strong bass volume makes the T1C sound very strong. Yes, there are headphones that make the sound a little better, but they're not even $100.

Even the maximum volume is quite high, and this is rarely seen in wireless headphones.

QCY T1C: Signal quality

The signal quality of wireless Bluetooth headphones is always a very important and not entirely problem-free topic.

Many wireless headphones tend to lose signal while listening to music. However, I don't notice this problem with the QCY T1C!

They have pretty excellent signal quality thanks to Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity. In my daily life I had no signal interruptions, and even when trying to signal a signal stop, the QCY T1Cs were very persistent!

QCY T1C: Conclusions and reviews

In conclusion of the QCY T1C test, I can confirm that these are one of the best wireless headphones under $30.

It’s difficult to find a competitor in this price range, but as I wrote at the beginning of the article, the QCY T1C is very similar to Xiaomi Airdots, both in appearance and in sound. Compared to more expensive models, such as the Jabra Elite 65t, it will be difficult for them to compete with the QCY T1C even in terms of sound quality.

QCY T1C are very powerful and compact wireless headphones. If you like good bass, then you will definitely love the T1C!

But if you are looking for balanced headphones, then these are not for you.

The headphones are quite small for wireless models, which makes them fit very well and comfortably in the ears.

The surprising thing is that the compact size does not compromise sound or battery life. The QCY T1C has about 3 hours of battery life, which is not bad for completely wireless headphones!

Also good signal quality, which is at the $300 level of the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless.

In a word, QCY T1C are headphones for which you can simply love QCY

Budget Split Wireless Headphones QCY QS1 (T1C)

I see that split headphones are popular, judging by the readability of the corresponding reviews. Well, then let’s continue to study their various options. Today's mini-review includes true wireless headphones from the very well-known company QCY. They have about five modifications of similar headphones; to start studying, I chose the cheapest one - QCY QS1. Only 1330 rubles on Ali (on Yandex.Market they are called QCY T1C and cost from 1750 rubles), they have all the corresponding “bells and whistles”, including a container with a battery, but do not support aptX (which they do support - usually cost two to three times more, like the recently reviewed Mpow T5 TWS).

Well, let's see what they are.

Contents: headphones, charging case, USB-microUSB cable, additional ear pads in two more sizes, user manual.

Headphones in a case. They are magnetized and will not fall out of the case, even if the case is turned over and shaken.

On the outer part of the headphones there is a multifunctional control button and an LED.

Headphones in the charging case while charging.

Pairing is done as usual (press the buttons on both headphones and hold until pairing is activated).

In the smartphone, each one is determined separately (they are separate and independent), the charge level is shown, and they are connected with the SBC codec.

Control. The button on any headphone while listening is pause/play. Double click on right/left - next/previous track. When making a call, press once to accept the call, double press to disconnect. Long press on any earphone to call Google assist.

They fit well in the ears and, thanks to their low weight, are almost unnoticeable. At the same time, they fit quite tightly: in no case did I manage to get at least one earphone to fall out of my ear. They calmly endure running, and jumping, and shaking their heads, and trying to pretend to be a Megadeth guitarist.

By the way, in some review I saw a statement that these headphones almost completely block out external sounds - in my opinion, this is complete nonsense. Yes, of course, the plugs weaken external sounds, but very slightly: if there is no music playing in them, then everything that happens around you can be heard quite normally.

Well, now let's listen to how these headphones sound. By the way, there is no need to be afraid of the man with the SBC codec gun. This codec, despite the fact that it is quite old, is highly customizable and the sound quality greatly depends on its settings in each specific device. (By the way, if you are interested in all sorts of technical details, I recommend an interesting article on this topic on Habré - “Audio via Bluetooth: as much detail as possible about profiles, codecs and devices.”)

So, that sounds pretty good. There is some volume, decent mids and highs, almost no bass (which is quite expected for such headphones). The aptX codec has better detail and better-developed mids and highs, but here the sound is definitely not bad. Smooth mid-range sound, quite suitable for listening to most music for people who do not know what oxygen-free copper is and do not crave the distinct sound of the middle strings of the snare drum of the kit.

I've listened to a lot of different headphones - no, the sound quality in these ones does not offend me at all. (And there were options where exactly it was insulting.)

The specifications everywhere say that the AAC codec is also supported here, but I couldn’t force them to connect via AAC through the “For Developers” section. But I read that many people connected. So it most likely depends on the smartphone.

In headset mode, they work well in a quiet environment; in a noisy environment, the quality drops noticeably, as expected. No, you can tell your wife that you will have a meatball with rice or a cutlet with potatoes for lunch, but I would not recommend having long conversations about life in these conditions: the interlocutor will not hear everything that you have to say to him.

I tested the battery life on one charge. Everything is clear here, four hours passed, and the headphones continued to work - they showed 8% charge.

I liked it: for the money, the devices themselves are quite decent and comfortable, and the sound is not bad. QCY has never disappointed me yet.

Once again the links are 1330 rubles on Ali (on Yandex.Market they are called QCY T1C and cost from 1750 rubles).

Upd: I'm not a retard, an astronaut. Why didn’t I think of attaching my branded Dunu SpinFit ear pads to them (I have the CP100-M model)? The comments suggested that these headphones have complete ear pads - very so-so, that's why there is no bass. I read this, put it on my CP100-M headphones - well, heaven and earth! The bass immediately appeared, deep and accurate, and the detail also became noticeably better. Whoever would have told me that headphones on SBC produce this, I would not have believed it. Well, another demonstration that SBC is not a sign of poor sound quality: a lot depends on both the headphones and the ear pads used... Well, especially for the money - it’s an excellent option, but it’s better to use non-complete ear pads and try different ones . A lot really depends on them.
