Wireless headphones have become incredibly popular in recent years, with more interesting models appearing on the market. We have collected the best wireless headphones of 2022 in the TOP 15 rating.
Here are presented both expensive and good wireless headphones, as well as more affordable ones. There are models with the highest quality sound, noise reduction, or simply those that sound pleasant.
TOP 15 best wireless headphones of 2022
True wireless headphones are those without a cable, often also called TWS headphones. In this case, we get two separate independent headphones, which, as conceived by the manufacturers, provide users with maximum comfort.
Despite their small size, the best wireless headphones for this type of phone can surprise you with high sound quality, a good microphone, and even effective active noise cancellation (ANC).
However, it must be remembered that not all models have active noise cancellation. ANC is commonly used in the best in-ear headphones. This feature may come in handy when traveling around town or on a plane, but otherwise good passive isolation will suffice. This isolation is ensured by perfectly selected intrathecal attachments (so-called elastic bands).
Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth Headset
Price: 1,890 rubles
Unlike the previous position, Xiaomi Mi Sport Bluetooth Headset is waterproof. It is also noteworthy that this had almost no effect on the price of the device.
The list of advantages of the model also includes range - some users claim that communication with a smartphone via the Bluetooth protocol was maintained at a distance of 20 meters.
Headphones will be an excellent option for people involved in sports and fitness. In addition to the fact that they will not break if sweat gets in, the solution is as ergonomic and thoughtful as possible - thanks to the earbuds, the headphones are firmly fixed in the auricle and do not fall out of it during sudden movements.
As for the sound, the mid frequencies are the most pronounced; low and high frequencies are also present, but there are fewer of them. If you don’t like this, you can always use an equalizer. But nothing can be done about the fact that the bass is very weak - this is the main drawback of the model.

How was the TOP of the best wireless headphones selected?
We used each wireless headphone model for at least a week before scoring. We love music and want your tunes to sound good too. Therefore, we listen to each pair of headphones, using a variety of sources and formats, from simple MP3 files to high-quality tracks on special audio players.
The test tracks are varied, but familiar, we listen to them again and again, searching for the sound to suddenly change. Then we listen to competitive models at a similar price and make a verdict reflecting the performance and capabilities of the device.

Pros and cons: voice assistant; choice of gadget shade; ergonomic shape; high frequencies; moisture protection; durable plastic. no charging indicator; touch panel.
In fact
What actually happens to the sound when the bass is increased? The rise of the low-frequency region not only shifts the emphasis to the more primitive basic rhythms of music, but also masks the more informative and rhythmically complex mid-frequency region. High frequencies recede into the background. As a result, complex music no longer sounds as interesting. The subtle play of percussion, voice timbres, and overtones of live instruments are noticeably simplified. Violation of tonal balance makes the sound dull, dark and slow.
Boosting the low-frequency region can be considered acceptable only for club electronic music, and even then only for those styles and directions in which the bass and rhythm machine are the main means of expression. If we turn on, say, blues, we get dominance of the rhythm section over the voice and lead guitar, which makes all blues compositions begin to seem boring and monotonous.
Some musical genres do not suffer much from boosting the bass range, but this is rather the exception
There is an opinion that forced bass is well suited for heavy music, that for Rammstein or Megadeath, as well as for “klubnyak”, it is worth adding more bass. Indeed, the basic rhythm in industrial and heavy metal plays a significant role, but listen to the same Rammstein without the forced bass and you will be surprised how interesting this group is musically, how complex and diverse the compositions are. And you will hear that the main rhythm and energy of the compositions is most often set by rhythm guitar and vocals, and the emphasis on bass and drums is not present in all compositions. Many metal albums are deliberately written with low bass levels, because the dominance of the low-frequency region will deprive the sound of intensity and brightness.
For live music, be it acoustic jazz, vocals, folk or classical, intelligibility and clarity in the mid-frequency range is most important, and the bass should be either on par with the rest of the range, or even in deficit so as not to cast a shadow on the mid-range frequencies. In other words, a good bass won’t hurt almost any music, but if it starts to lead, nothing good will come of it.

Who is to blame and what to do?
When assessing the sound of the low frequency range, do not forget that some fuzziness and blurriness of bass notes may be due to the capabilities of the amplifier. Insufficient damping coefficient or low power lead to exactly this effect. But if we are talking about a characteristic frequency response with enhanced bass reproduction, increasing the quality of the amplification does not help, and it becomes clear who is to blame.
If you are just in the process of choosing headphones, you can look for a model with a smoother sound, but if you suddenly find that your favorite headphones are too bassy and you still don’t want to part with them, there are several ways to correct the situation. The simplest thing is an equalizer, with which you can reduce the bass as much as necessary. Using a portable amplifier can also provide low-frequency correction if it has bass control. Even a replacement cable can be selected to reduce bass response. These properties are primarily found in thin cables and cables with silver-plated cores.
The double bass is one of the few instruments that sounds in the lower bass region; the main tones of most instruments fall in the upper bass and mid-frequency range
You can change the bass response in a more radical way - by interfering with the design of the headphones. If they have a so-called semi-open acoustic design, when there is a small calibrated hole or several holes in the closed earcup. It is this sound tuning element that is responsible for expanding and strengthening the bass region. Using a piece of tape, it will be easy to transform the design of the headphones from semi-open to closed, and see what happens. The effect can be different, including this experiment giving a chance to achieve the desired normalization of the low-frequency range. If you are more satisfied with the sound in a closed version, the result can be secured by covering the holes in some more cultural way.

However, having the ability to adjust the amount of bass using an equalizer or special technologies, users most often choose the bass option. In addition to the banal promotion of the idea of bass (as an indicator of quality), there may be other reasons.
The first is the ability of the headphones to reproduce the low frequency range. For some models, the bass response ends approximately in the area in which the bass amplifiers operate, so raising the bass at the source level in this case only compensates for the lack of bass in the headphones.
Headphones created at the dawn of the era of portable audio were not capable of reproducing deep bass, which became a natural stimulus for increasing consumer interest in the low-frequency region
The second is the listening conditions. On a noisy street or in transport, background noise complicates the perception of music and masks a significant part of the sounds in the mid and low frequencies. A moderate boost in the bass region is quite appropriate in this situation, since it makes that part of the spectrum that is masked by background noise more audible.
The third reason lies on a completely different plane and concerns more the psychological aspects of the perception of music. When you like music, there is a natural desire to turn up the volume. However, simply increasing the volume can make the sound uncomfortable due to the high and mid frequencies to which the ear is more sensitive. If you increase only the bass region, this is perceived as a general increase in volume, but there is no discomfort in the mid and high frequencies. In addition, it is in the bass region that the main rhythmic structures of music are found. By shifting the emphasis to simple rhythms, we create the illusion of a more energetic and “driving” sound.
