Design and ergonomics

Let's start getting acquainted with the headphones with the case, which is made in the same color as the headphones: blue, gray, menthol or soft beige. The Jabra brand logo is printed on the front.

The USB Type-C charging port and color indicator are located on the back. The light bulb displays 6 states:

  • Green—high charge/battery is fully charged.
  • Yellow - half charged.
  • Red—low battery level/update error.
  • Purple—software update.

The case lid is secured with a magnetic clasp. It opens with force, so the headphones are safe. Inside the case there are contact pads for headphones, which are also held in the case by magnets.

We pick up the headphones and see mechanical keys with the brand logo printed on them and perforated microphones. The keys contain LED indicators with 7 positions of different colors:

  • Green - high charging level / plugs are on.
  • Yellow—average battery life.
  • Red - Low battery/flashing red indicates power outage.
  • Blue—pairing is in progress.
  • Purple—resets settings to factory settings.

Ear pads are attached to the emitters (3 pieces included: small, medium and large).

On the inside of the case there are notches “L” and “R”, as well as charging contacts.

After placing the earplugs in the ear, the manufacturer recommends turning them forward to ensure a comfortable fit. By the way, the headphones hold securely and do not fall out during active sports.

An additional advantage is protection against dust and moisture according to the IP57 standard. You can’t swim with them, but they will survive immersion in fresh water for up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Jabra even emphasizes this and provides a 2-year warranty against failures resulting from dust or water getting inside the earbuds.

As with the regular model, the Jabra Elite Active 75t leaves only positive impressions. The headphones are assembled perfectly, do not slip in wet hands due to the special coating, and the mechanical keys are easy to move. Similar emotions are evoked by a compact case that can fit even in a narrow jeans pocket.

Condensed headphone summary

Multipoint available. You can be connected to 2 devices at the same time. But the sound will be played simultaneously from only one of the two.

It’s very convenient - you listen to music or watch a movie on one device, and you can accept a call from another.

Call equalizer. Working multipoint (you can connect headphones to several devices at the same time, 7.5 hours of autonomy, although at maximum they only work for 4 hours 40 minutes.

There is a strange function called saithon - when you hear yourself during a conversation (I don’t know who uses it, but I’m sure someone needs it).

Active noise reduction (which was later delivered in new firmware; it was not in stock at the start of sales). But, in the subway it won’t save you (even in combination with a passive one it’s sad), there is a transparency function, which works quite well, but not great either.

Useless ambient noise feature. Mechanical control buttons. Adjusting headphones to suit your hearing. Standard codecs. Huge questions for microphones.

Sound, connection and control

The Jabra Elite Active 75t is dominated by low frequencies, which is in perfect harmony with active music and is not at all suitable for fans of classical or jazz. The headphones are also great for conversations, offering two microphones on each ear with protection from wind noise.

Adjust the sound in the Jabra Sound+ app. After connecting headphones to it:

  • A 2-year headphone warranty is activated, including failure due to dust and moisture getting inside.
  • The user undergoes personal sound settings taking into account age, gender and preferred genres.
  • Information about the remaining battery capacity of the headphones and case.
  • Accesses two equalizers for music and conversations.

It is the equalizer that changes the presentation of the music. Any user can understand it, since it is divided into conditional settings for low, medium and high frequencies.

The overall sound quality is high, with SBC and AAC codecs supported. The headphones are compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 and connect in the standard way:

  1. Remove the ears from the case to turn them on.
  2. Press both keys on the headphones to synchronize with each other.
  3. Find Jabra Elite Active 75t among available connections.

The plugs' memory stores up to eight devices. Both headphones can work separately, being connected to two different devices. In terms of latency: watching videos is comfortable, minor desynchronization is noticeable in games. The connection is stable, without sudden disconnections or interruptions.

Through the headphones, they control music playback, calls, and enable special functions, which will be discussed later. What commands does the left earbud support:

  • Hold - decreases the volume.
  • One press - mutes or unmutes the microphone / switches between HearThrough and ANC modes.
  • Double tap - switches the track / turns on the Sidetone function.
  • Triple press - restarts the song or switches to the previous one.

What the button on the right earphone does:

  • Hold - increases volume.
  • One press – pauses music, continues playing/answering or hanging up a call.
  • Two presses - reject the call or hold/continue the conversation, after answering / activates the voice assistant.

Control can be changed through the application.

What are the dangers of resetting settings?

Nothing. Bluetooth headphones have fairly simple software and limited internal memory. A reset simply resets all previous connections and allows you to connect and sync again.

The fact is that if the connection with one of the headphones is lost, the second one “forgets” about it and does not try to find it when turned on. Or the smartphone sees both headphones as the same as one. If you reset the settings to factory settings, the initial connection procedure is carried out from the very beginning, and the pairing is not restored, but created again. This allows you to get rid of problems.

Reset procedure

The instructions for each gadget usually describe exactly how to reset the Bluetooth settings to factory settings. Despite the general principle, there are differences for different models. The most common reset procedure looks like this:

  • fully charge the case;

  • touch the button on the case and hold it for 30 seconds.

This is how the configured parameters on Xiaomi Mi AirDots Pro are reset. However, this procedure may be different for other models.

Battery life

In normal mode, with a 100% charge, the Jabra Elite Active 75t will last for 7.5 hours of music at medium volume. The case provides an additional 20.5 hours. With ANC enabled, battery life drops to 5.5 hours and an additional 13.5 hours from the case.

Fast charging mode is supported - 15 minutes in the case is enough for 1 hour of music. From the cable, fully charging the case takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes. There is a version of the case that supports Qi wireless charging, which restores the battery in 6 hours.

Neat appearance

In addition to the gold-plated metal earphones themselves, the box contains a charging case, a USB Type-C cable and two sets of silicone earbuds - the third is attached to the accessory. By default they are tiny S, but it is better to immediately change to M so that the model does not fall out of your ears. Dark silicone earbuds are quite easily soiled: even the slightest dust is noticeable on them.

The charging case resembles the AirPods Pro case, but that's where the external similarities with Apple products end. The headphones are much more similar to their predecessors - the Elite 65t model. However, the 75t came out more compact. In addition to its pretty appearance, the gadget has a pleasant filling: there are four microphones inside for better and more realistic sound during calls.

The case lid snaps shut with a magnet, and the headphones themselves fit tightly into the case, so it won’t be easy to lose crumbs.

Small, light and neat, the Elite 75t deserves an "excellent" design rating.
